Why I Created the Midlife Awakening Summit - And What the Planning Process Revealed

For years, I’ve listened to women over 40 describe what they’re experiencing—fatigue, anxiety, brain fog, sleep struggles, emotional overwhelm, and an awakening that their life is changing.
But what struck me wasn’t just what they were feeling. It was what they couldn’t quite name.
They weren’t only navigating physical changes. They were navigating an inner shift.
A questioning. A reckoning. An awakening. A Midlife Awakening.
That realization is what led me to create the Midlife Awakening Summit—not as another conversation about symptoms, but as a whole-woman exploration of what this season of life is truly asking of us.
This Was Never Just About Midlife
As a wellness coach, I’ve learned that the most important conversations often happen beneath the surface.
When women talked about hormones, weight, energy, or stress, what I often heard was something deeper:
“I don’t recognize myself anymore.”
“I feel disconnected from who I used to be.”
“I’m doing all the things, but something still feels off.”
What many women were experiencing wasn’t a breakdown—it was a transition of identity.
Midlife, I’ve come to believe, is not about decline. It’s about recalibration.
What Planning the Summit Revealed
As I brought together experts from different wellness disciplines—hormonal health, neuropsychology, energy, confidence, productivity, sacred self-care—I noticed something remarkable.
Despite their different approaches, the message was consistent:
👉 The body speaks when the soul has been ignored.
👉 Symptoms often show up before clarity arrives.
👉 This season requires listening, not pushing harder.
Again and again, the conversation returned to nervous system health, emotional honesty, self-trust, and permission to slow down long enough to hear what the body and spirit are communicating.
That alignment told me we were addressing something essential.
Midlife Is a Call, Not a Crisis
One of the biggest misconceptions women carry is that midlife means something is wrong.
In truth, it often means something is waking up.
This season asks us to:
Redefine productivity without burnout
Practice self-care as reverence, not reward
Release roles we’ve outgrown
Build confidence rooted in truth instead of performance
Honor wisdom, intuition, and lived experience
The Midlife Awakening Summit was created to hold space for these conversations—without shame, urgency, or fixing.
Why Community Matters More Than Ever
What I’ve learned most—both through this summit and my work with women—is that healing and growth do not happen in isolation.
Women need safe spaces to reflect, learn, and evolve together.
That’s why the summit is not a one-time event—it’s an extension of the deeper work we continue inside the V.I.B.E. Wellness Woman Network.
